Hello,

I hope you are doing well. Here is just a quick post on my latest sweater. I made it using a pattern from a Japanese knitting book.

Purling and knitting to make these beautiful patterns – no difficult stitches involved:-)

It is a lot bigger than I expected, but I like it just the same. It somehow grew after blocking… like the other items I made lately… making me think I better start shaping the wet sweater to the desired size indicated on pattern when blocking.

Here’s the book the pattern is from: “Light and comfortable sweaters using only purl and knit stitches”. These are great as the are all quite simple yet all have a bit of texture to make them interesting.

Looks familiar?🙂 The pattern is by the designer Orie Inami.

Here are some other patterns from the book I like.

One can never have too many neck warmers.

This elegant cardigan has always been on my wish list… I think it is something very useful to have.

Thank you for reading! I wish you a nice weekend.

  1. So many great patterns in just one book – I wish I could read a knitting pattern in Japanese! Your sweater is simply wonderful. Love the way you style it with skinny jeans.

  2. Pretty! I love those simple shapes and patterns. Every attempt to make such patterns myself goes horribly wrong though, I somehow can’t concentrate on keeping track with counting purls and knits🙂

  3. Such a cute jumper, I love the patterns in it! What sort of wool did you use? I’d get my mum to knit me jumpers but they always come out fuzzy.
